Get your Kids in the Kitchen

I can’t believe that we’re staring down the final weeks of summer. By now, if you’re anything like me, you’ve gone through your camps, taken your swim lessons and now you’ve got a few weeks until the hustle & bustle of the school year.  I hate to be the downer, but it’s happening.  At least we’re not in year round school, right?

As we dig in to the dog days, you’re probably trying to think of things for your kids to do.

Why not get them into cooking at The Grange?

The Young Chefs Cooking Academy will introduce your kids to cooking. I know my kids absolutely love spending time in the kitchen with mom and this is a great opportunity to learn from a real chef.

Chef, Dana Donathan will teach your kids the basics of cooking; how to measure, mix, the difference between a dash and a pinch. They’ll even learn some special kid friendly recipes, such as: Pita Pizza, Cheerios Crown of Jewels and Parfaits just to name a few.

As the ideas for summer fun start to run low this is a great way to get your kids (ages 7-10) out of the house for a couple of hours of fun.

The final session at The Grange will be held Monday, July 21 – Wednesday, July 23 from 11-1.  Simply register your kids, drop them off and enjoy some time to yourself.

Your kids will be in a safe environment having fun in the kitchen with Chef Dana.
