Who is ready to celebrate the end of 2020? I know I am ready for a brighter 2021. Thinking of the New Year, have you made any resolutions? If so, do you think you’ll keep them? Here are a few tips to keep your resolution throughout the year.
Make Your Resolution Specific
When writing down your resolution, make it something concrete and trackable. Rather than saying, “I’m going to exercise more,” say, “I’m going to exercise three days a week.” If your resolution is generic, it’s more likely to go by the wayside.
Make Small Goals
Create a resolution that is trackable. Set small goals for yourself to achieve. That way, it’s not as overwhelming. When you meet your goal, reward yourself. If you miss your goal, take time to review and make changes, all while staying in the realm of your big resolution.
Talk About Your Goal
If you talk about your resolutions and goals with family and friends, you’ll have a support system that will hopefully hold you accountable.
Switch up Your Resolutions
How many times have you made the same resolution? Yes, you want to get in shape, but try switching it up. You might see success with another resolution. If you keep the same resolution, take time to think about what went wrong and what went right.
