3 Ways to Stay Cool in The Meadows
Summer officially isn’t here for another week, but it’s already heating up in The Meadows, with temps close to 90, which is wild for June. But if you’ve lived here for a while, you know it will only get hotter as we move through the summer. Rather than keeping the kids inside all summer soaking up the AC, you can take them to one of the many places in and around The Meadows to cool off.
Visit a Neighborhood Pool
The Grange Pool is one of the most popular spots to cool off throughout the summer. In addition to The Grange, you have a few other swimming options. You can go to Butterfield Crossing Park, Philip S. Miller Park, and many other pools in Castle Rock.
Find a Community Splash Pad
If you need a quick cool-down, take the kids to one of the splash pads throughout town. Visit the splash pad at Philip S. Miller Park, The Grange, or Butterfield Park, or drive to Festival Park in Downtown Castle Rock.
Soak in The Sun at a Lake or Reservoir
Within just a short drive from The Meadows, you can take a short drive to one of the many lakes and reservoirs in the area. If you don’t want to take a trip to the mountains, you can get your fix roughly 20 minutes south in Palmer Lake as you cool off in this famous little lake. Want something bigger? Chatfield, Cherry Creek, and Aurora Reservoir are all close options.
Don’t overheat this summer. Take advantage of the many opportunities to cool off in and around The Meadows.
